DARLINGTON- LeRoy Weliever, 76, of Darlington, died unexpectedly at 1:15 p.m. Sunday at the home of a daughter in Crawfordsville. Born Dec. 29, 1889 in Darlington, he was the son of Charles and Nancy Christman Weliever. He was married to Nellie Mae Cooper on June 30, 1910 in Crawfordsville. She preceded him in death on June 18, 1956. A member of the Darlington Methodist Church, he was a car painter and interior decorator. He had been retired the last four years. Preceding him in death besides the widow were a brother, a sister and a grandson. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Cox of Jamestown, Mrs. Delbert Irons, Mrs. Lawrence Albertson, Mrs. John Cohee and Mrs. Jack Cunningham all of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Fern Woody of Darlington; two brothers, Harry of Darlington and William of Indianapolis, and 14 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are announced for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bright Funeral Home here with Rev. Keith Carlile officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
